What we never ask for

These are not on any form, not in our database, and not in the matcher:

  • Date of birth or age
  • A photo — profiles use initials
  • Graduation years or any education dates
  • Gender, race, ethnicity, religion, marital or family status, disability, veteran status
  • Citizenship or national origin. We ask only whether you are authorized to work and whether you need sponsorship — the two questions that are actually job-related.

Experience without age

Depth is asked per subject area, banded, and capped at "10+ years". We never ask for date ranges, and we never ask how long your career has been. "Last used" is asked relative to today, never as a calendar year. A long career and a very long career look the same here, which is the point.

Your resume

The file is never public and is never served from a link anyone can share. An employer requests it, we issue a link that expires in fifteen minutes, and every single download is recorded and shown to you on your profile page.

Before any of your text is used for matching it is scrubbed: names, dates of birth, graduation years, institutions and protected attributes are removed, and employment date ranges are converted to durations — "2003–2015" becomes "12 years". The ranker never sees the original.

Your contact details

Your email and phone number are never published. When an employer wants to reach you we relay the message; they see your address only if you choose to reply.

How long we keep things

A profile stays listed for one year. We email you before it lapses and one click — no password needed — keeps it up for another year. If you do nothing it is hidden, not deleted, and signing in restores it. Hidden profiles are deleted entirely after a further year, along with the resume file. You can delete everything yourself at any time.

What the matcher is not allowed to do

Explanations may only refer to skills, depth, recency, role, location, employment type, work authorization and availability. Anything generated is checked before it is shown and discarded if it strays. We do not build "find more people like the ones we hired before" — a model doesn't need a protected attribute if it can learn the pattern from who got picked.
